Here are the polls! You have two weeks to vote!!

(Note: Some nominations are for multi-part series. Due to the character limit in the poll entries, I generally couldn’t provide multiple links, even using tinyurl, so I did my best to indicate that the nomination is for multiple posts and provide a link that will lead you to all the parts of the nominated work.)

Year-long awards for people and websites:

Awards for Individual Works:

Note: I reorganized some of the categories, and moved some of the nominations that could fit into more than one possible category. I did this for one of three possible reasons in each case:

  1. To avoid having two works by the same author competing with each other in the same category.
  2. The post seemed to fit better in the new category than in the original category
  3. The new category had fewer nominations than the original category

I hope nobody objects to this reorganization.

Thanks so much, chanson, for putting this together!

  2. chanson says:

    Thanks Leah!

My one regret is that I could not figure out a way to split up or thin out the “Most Insightful Discussion of Mormon Beliefs, Practices, and Culture” category. At first I thought I’d split it into a category for “Mormon Beliefs” and a category for “Mormon Culture.” But the problem is that the posts don’t really divide along those lines — it’s more that they all discuss how Mormon beliefs interact with culture and practice.

So, anyway, whoever wins that category wins the super-Brodie or something. 😉

    Thanks Donna!!

Not to be a martyr or anything, but I’ll tell you that I got up at 4am to prepare the polls before work. This is mostly because I procrastinated on Wednesday, but then I was too psyched about the Brodies to sleep. (Plus, I’m a bit of a morning person.)

I hope that everyone is as excited about the Brodies as I am!!! Though — I guess I have to admit — that’s pretty much impossible. 😉

Kullervo @11 — That’s worrisome. What browser are you using? I’ve checked the polls on Safari and Firefox, and they look fine. If the embedding is cutting off the bottoms of the polls, it’s also possible to go to the polldaddy site to vote for them. Tell me which ones are displaying wrong, and I’ll post the direct links.

President — Go to your blogger dashboard. Select “Layout” — you’ll see the outline of your layout. Select “Add a Gadget” in your sidebar. From the list of possible gadgets, select “picture”. That way you can select the image, and you can link it to your post where you explain how you won the wrong award. 😉
